MINEROL is the first mineral supplement of it’s kind!

The MINEROL line of products were first formulated in 1983 by a team of agricultural researchers in Geelong, Victoria, and has undergone intensive laboratory investigation, extensive field trial work and subsequent formula improvements before it became commercially available under a number of brand names in January 1995. MINEROL, released in 2001, is the improved and modified product version of the original formula.

Until the availability of MINEROL, trace element supplementations have had serious shortfalls. It was not possible to supply adequate quantities of trace elements safely to overcome deficiencies and maximise production. This is because a large percentage of the supplemented trace elements leave the ruminant via their urine and faeces.

MINEROL’s unique formulation has overcome these problems in trace element supplementation. MINEROL is able to supplement trace elements that are more readily absorbed into the ruminants metabolic storage systems without detrimental side effects. This is achieved by employing a lignosulphonate based chelation process in the formulation of MINEROL.

MINEROL’s organically chelated trace element compounds, form cross-linked amino acid-metal complexes in the rumen. The majority of these materials are unaffected by ruminal degradation, before undergoing enzymatic digestion and absorption in the abomasum and small intestine. This leads to high levels of MINEROL supplemented trace elements being stored and utilised by the ruminant and subsequently higher productivity gains are achieved.
